The Power of Release

Most of us carry more than we realize. Old words we still replay. Wounds we never named. Burdens that do not even belong to us. We move through life heavy, even when on the surface we smile and say, “I’m fine.”

For a long time, I thought healing meant adding more: more knowledge, more practices, more effort. But I came to see that true healing does not begin with adding — it begins with releasing.

Release is not easy. Our wounds become familiar; our pain feels like part of who we are. Sometimes we hold on because letting go means stepping into the unknown. Yet release is the moment the soul becomes lighter.

It is as simple as exhaling after holding the breath for too long. It is as profound as forgiving someone — or even yourself — after years of silence.

When we release, we are not becoming something new. We are simply uncovering what has always been there, hidden beneath the weight: freedom, lightness, peace.

Release is an act of love. It says: “I no longer need to carry what dims my light.”

To release is to rise.
